About This Event
This four-day hands-on workshop introduces participants to Earthbag and Hyperadobe construction through work on a courtyard project in Southern Arizona. Participants gain practical experience with building techniques, materials, soil preparation, and plaster finishes while learning principles that can be applied to other earthen-building projects.
What You’ll Learn
Topics include introductory design, compass use, foundations, SuperAdobe design principles, hands-on SuperAdobe and Hyperadobe construction, material mixing, soil testing, base plasters, and final lime plaster finishes.
