This two-day hands-on workshop introduces the traditional technique of Catalan vault construction. Participants will explore how thin bricks and mortar can be assembled into lightweight, self-supporting arched structures while learning about the history, materials, and principles behind the method. No prior experience is required.

History and principles of Catalan vaulting; structural behavior of thin-shell forms; material selection; construction of the lightweight curved form; brick assembly into an arch; and finishing the structure with a natural waterproof coating.
